This is a great start of a New Year!! My GRANDDAUGHTER came home from the hospital on January 5th right before my 50th Birthday! That's kinda of a MIXED BLESSING! She is doing very well, still has a few little problems but not life threatening. She is up to whopping 5 pounds and 14 ounces, not bad for a 4 month old! I want to thank ALL OF YOU that have her in your prayers, please continue to pray for her and her weight gain.
Hello Everyone,
 I want to thank everyone for a great year. I knew at the beginning of the year it was going to be the best ever.... (that doesn't always mean money, ha ha) I loved seeing all of you this year, and the ones I didn't see I enjoyed talking to you via e mail or phone.
One of my ladies that travel with me Pat Troupe has found out she has cancer. If you don't know her she is a joy to be around and always happy! Even sick she still is laughing! Please keep her in your prayers.
My daughter was pregnant and due on Jan 1st as a lot of you know. On Sept 25th she called me and told me she was hurting so I went with her to the Doctor. He sent her straight to Fort Sanders in Knoxville, where we found out she had an infection and her water was gone. (My daughter is a very small person) With her water gone you could see every move Chloe (the baby)made. It is really an amazing thing to see.
 On Thursday morning she was born! One pound and twelve ounces, thirteen and one half inches long.This was the first time I ever heard the word MICRO PREEMIE. To be a Micro she is the biggest blessing you can ever imagine! My daughter is doing great and my granddaughter (Chloe) is doing well. She had heart surgery Thursday on her 2 week old birthday. It went great but she has a long road ahead. She is a strong fighter and has only had two transfusions. This is good for a baby her size.
In the two weeks of her being at Children's Hospital I have seen one family go thru a death of a 3 month old, heart surgery on a couple of other babies, and one of my daughters friends her baby is going through a lot of difficult things, couple of surgery's. His heart is in his chest backwards. I think of how blessed we are to have just a baby that wanted to come into the world to see her Paw Paws 50th birthday!
